Privacy¶
This page covers the website migrax.org. The Migrax tool itself sends nothing anywhere: it only talks to the databases you point it at.
What the site counts¶
When you accept cookies in the banner, the site loads Google Analytics. It records:
- the pages you open and how long you stay on them,
- the page or site you came from (for example a search engine or a link on another site),
- your approximate location (country and city, worked out from your IP address; Google Analytics does not store the address itself),
- your browser, operating system, screen size and language,
- your answer when you click ๐ or ๐ under "Was this page helpful?" (that box only appears after you accept),
- when you copy an install command (which kind: Homebrew, Scoop, installer, container image, Maven or Gradle) or click a file on the Download page (which file). The copied text itself is not sent.
This tells us how many people visit, which guides and blog articles they read, and how they found the site. It is not used for advertising, and it is not sold or shared with anyone else. Google processes the data under its privacy policy.
When you reject cookies, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is counted.
